"We've reported quite extensively on this topic and the issues with having Saw 6 director (Kevin Greutert) back to direct Saw 7, a film he didn't want to make. DemonFm radio recently interviewed Jigsaw himself, Tobin Bell and he broke the news that not only the director isn't happy but now the the decision to shoot the film in 3D has also created friction between the cast and studio.
Follow up:
The simple fact that this could be the last film and it's being shot in 3D just doesn't sit well with the cast we are told. Apparently the cast isn't the only group that thinks it may just be icing on a burnt cake.
Can 3D work in horror, yes. Is it a good idea sometimes, sure. But Saw is one series that although bloated and needs to be put to rest should still have the element of dark and dank, not the usual 3D that appeals to colorful kids films rather than the dark, dank warehouses used in Saw.
Time will tell, if this is the last film it sure seems like it may go out on a downward note. The directors not happy nor is the cast? Doesn't seem like a recipe for a blockbuster. Saw VII may be better left on the cutting room floor. Bidites what do you think? Is this going to be as rough a film as it seems?"
- It's a load of bollocks - no such interview has come out of our radio station.....I've sent an e-mail to get rid of it. But just thought I'd tell you guys.....I and Demon FM have made no statement, nor has Tobin.
